Do you collect anything?

I collect rocks from all over the world. I wanted to collect souvenirs or something from every country I go to but sometimes we don’t have time for souvenir days, so I started collecting rocks that had a specific look to the landscape. On long expeditions I have found rocks at summits and brought them back down in my pack. Training weight?

What is your most unusual talent?

I don’t get blisters on my feet no matter how gnarly the situation.

What is the scariest thing you have ever done?

Navigated through a 7 hour hectic Himalayan Icefall on our way to a first ski mountaineer descent in Tajikistan.

Why do you like working with Gnarly?

Gnarly is a local company that popped up as I was growing my career. When you are in the stages of starting a business you start to recognize other businesses around you who are starting out. You appreciate their work ethic, their morals, team members, ideas, community support, and honesty. Gnarly was a genuine crew of people who built Gnarly out of passion. I was inspired by them. The bonus is that Gnarly happens to make some of the best supplements out there that fit my daily needs.

Outside of your respective sport, what are you most proud of?

Outside of photography, I am most proud of my friend group. My friends are so talented, bad ass and they inspire me each and every day. Proud to surround myself with amazing people.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I am definitely the Chips, Salsa and Guac the rest of my life guy.

Who is your hero? Why?

My heroes change depending on what I am focused on at the moment. But at this moment I am most proud of my Brother who came to stay with me, he is 11months sober, cooking like Gordon Ramsey, and is always lending a hand.

Any advice for aspiring athletes?

If you are prepared, competent, and confident, then fear can be managed.
