Fiber is finally having its moment. Once overlooked in favor of trendy diets and flashy superfoods, this humble nutrient has become one of the biggest topics in wellness—and for good reason. Even though we don’t digest fiber the way we digest starch or sugar, it plays a major role in our health.
There are two main types of fiber:

Soluble fiber dissolves in water, forming a gel-like substance in the digestive tract. It can help lower cholesterol, support healthy blood sugar levels, and feed beneficial gut bacteria.
