How to Pick a Snowboard

Sometimes I get in the nasty little habit of doing the same thing over and over again. I love running, I love cycling, I love lifting heavy objects. But I’ve been doing this stuff for years. And I get burned out. It usually happens once or twice a year. I decide I need a break and I need to stop doing something until I start itching to do it again. Well, here I am. It’s the beginning of October and I am really sick of running. I want to do something else. I want to spread my wings a bit. Lucky for me, I live in Utah, home to some of the greatest snow on earth. It’s a solid place to try a few new sports this winter. I think I’m going to dive into this headfirst (the snow, that is. Is that safe?) and try some snowboarding. I’ve been wanting to do it for years. But where to start? How about with a board.

Lucky for me, the folks over at backcountry.com have put together a sweet little piece on how to choose a snowboard. Awesome. Let’s read it together and bask in the glory of Backcountry’s seemingly infinite knowledge on all things outdoorsey. Backcountry is great because they’re really thorough -they truly live and breathe the amazing outdoor air that get’s many of us Gnarly denizens stoked as well, so I think I’m in good hands.
